For months I was hearing everyone talk about this St. Ives Apricot Scrub, so of course, I wanted to know what the hype was all about (I know I’m like 2 years late). Plus anyone that knows me would know that I’m the queen when it comes to reading reviews. There probably isn’t one thing I’ve bought without standing in the aisle and looking at reviews. So after reading reviews and my old roommate raving over it, I decided hey, why not.
Let’s get to it then…..
According to the packaging it “Deeply Exfoliates to Reveal Smooth Skin.” We’ll see how true that is for me. Also on the exfoliation factor, it is considered DEEP.
After wetting your face you’re supposed to put the product in your finger tips then proceed to massage over your face. Once done. just rinse it off and that’s it.
The first thing I will say is that it does smell good. Now that I have used it once, I’m not sure how likely I am to use it again. I wouldn’t say I have sensitive skin but this scrub felt a lot harsher than what I’m used to normally using. So I’m not surprised at their recent lawsuit, likely from someone who had sensitive skin. When rinsing it off I made sure to be extremely aware of keeping my eyes shut because of how hard the scrubbing beads were.
As I take a look more into the scrub, for the most part, people either love it or absolutely hate it. Me, well I’m on the fence. My face didn’t feel too much different after and I still washed my face with a little Dove. It might just be because It’s my first time using it and I might see results after continuous use. Then again I don’t want to discover how sensitive my skin really is.
Have you used the scrub? What has been your experience with it?
