As a typical “broke college student” I don’t exactly get to travel too much but lately, I’ve been inspired by Bloggers/Youtubers Damon and Jo. They are best friends in their early twenties who highly advocate for getting out there and traveling on a budget.
Since Summer is approaching and I’m looking to at least find my way to somewhere out of New Jersey I wanted to share with you some of my essentials for traveling.
Face Cleanser – Just because you’re not home doesn’t mean you’re on vacation from taking care of your skin. As you may know, I love me some Clean & Clear Morning Burst Scrub so how convenient is it that they have a 1oz TSA-friendly bottle for less than $1 at Target.
Sunscreen – This might be obvious to some but I’m just putting it out there so you don’t forget (or me either for that matter). I’m not the most knowledgeable person about sunscreen so I can’t exactly suggest one right now but maybe we can do a little research together later on.
Sheet masks – You skin can easily become dry from being out in the sun so sheet masks are a fast, easy and not too messy way to get some moisture back in your skin. The TonyMoly I’m Real Aloe Face Mask Sheet is actually under $10 (actually under $5 on Ulta’s website) and I’ve seen nothing but good reviews.
Makeup Remover Wipes – If you’re not going to wash your face every night the least you can do is not sleep in your makeup after a long night. My favorites are Neutrogena makeup wipes; they get everything off and leave your face feeling moisturized.
A Toner– Last but definitely not least. I myslef am recently learning this but a toner is a usually water based product which according to AnnMarie Skincare aims is to “shrink the appearance of large pores and further cleanse the skin, picking up any makeup or debris that may have been left behind.”
When traveling it’s really important not just assume that you can just forget your routine for a couple of days because before you know it your skin doesn’t react the way you expect it to. Is that really worth the risk?
